nominations for co-chair election
The Assessment/E-folio SIG is currently seeking nominees for the role of SIG co-chair. This is a two-year term (March 2018 - March 2020). The newly elected co-chair will assume the co-chair duties following the conclusion of the SITE Annual Conference in Alexandria March 26-30, 2018. Candidates for election must be members of SITE and the Assessment/E-folio SIG. Self-nominations are welcome. Duties of this position include:
- Coordinate reviews and decisions about proposals submitted to the SIG for SITE Annual Conference program
- Communicate with SIG members about SITE and SIG developments and events
- Encourage SIG members to participate in SITE Annual Conference, other events and/or projects
- Attend SITE Annual Conference for each year in office
- Conduct Assessment/E-folio SIG meetings at the SITE Annual Conferences
- Represent Assessment/E-folio SIG at Teacher Education Council meetings at SITE Annual Conference
- Solicit nominations and conduct elections of Assessment/E-folio SIG co-chairs
To nominate someone, or self-nominate, for the Assessment/E-folio SIG co-chair position, please send an email to lli@bgsu.edu and smcphers@nyit.edu with the person's name, email address, title, program/department/university or organization, and short bio. Nominations will be due Sunday, March 18, 2018. Nominees will be contacted to confirm their nomination. Full CV’s may be requested. The Assessment/E-folio SIG members will vote on the final slate of nominees at the SIG meeting at the SITE Annual Conference.

Dr. Yiliang Liu is nominated for co-chair. Please review the brief bio below and come to the Assessment/efolio SIG meeting to vote.
Yuliang Liu, PhD, is Professor of Instructional Technology at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE), United States. His primary research interest focuses on online course design and delivery, technology integration across the curriculum, STEM, research design, statistics, assessment and program evaluation, as well as international partnerships in higher education between US and China. At SIUE, he teaches a variety of graduate and undergraduate courses, including distance education, instructional systems design, instructional development, computers in education, digital learning and communication for educators, managing technology resources for education, multimedia, performance technology, needs assessment and program evaluation, design studio, research methods in education, quantitative inquiry, as well as educational psychology.
He has published over 30 scholarly articles and book chapters related to educational technology since 2000. He has been presenting at SITE annual conference since 2003 and has been invited to present in universities in mainland China and Hong Kong in recent years. He has served on the annual conference program review board of SITE for over 10 years. He served as the membership director for Society of International Chinese in Educational Technology (SICET) for 3 years. Since 2002, he has served as a grant review panelist for US Department of Education and National Science Foundation every year.
