Special Interest Group
The SIG will promote activities for future E-Learn conferences, including suggestions for invited speakers and symposia. It provides a marketplace for joint research projects and offers publications opportunities in form of special issues and edited volumes.

Get to know the SIG Co-Chairs: Curtis Ho & Stefanie Panke

Dr. Curtis P. Ho is professor and former chair of the Educational Technology department at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. His research interests comprise collaborative learning through distance education, instructional design strategies for teaching online, instructional technology standards in teacher education and the integration of technology into the curriculum.

Dr. Stefanie Panke works as instructional analyst at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is passionate about applied research in the field of educational technology and serve as a member of several conference program committees (ED-MEDIA, E-LEARN, SITE, ISSOTL), as a reviewer for e-journals (MERLOT Journal of Online Learning and Teaching, International Review of Research in Open and Distance Learning) and as editor for social software at the Educational Technology and Change Journal (ETC).

Curtis Ho and Stefanie Panke serve on the executive committee for the AACE E-Learn conference and are the current co-chairs for the new Special Interest Group on 'Designing, Developing and Assessing E-Learning'.
