As Associate Professor of Educational Technology in the School of Education, I currently teach online, blended, and face-to-face courses in educational and assistive technology. Prior to joining the faculty at NSC, I taught in K-12 as a teacher-librarian in Cloquet and Wrenshall Schools (Minnesota). I hold an M.Ed. in Educational Media and Technology, and pursued my doctorate while employed full time as an Academic Technology Coordinator and adjunct instructor at The College of St. Scholastica. My research interests include using technology to promote student engagement and inclusion, schools of the future, and inclusive instructional models such as the Community of Inquiry (COI), Universal Design for Learning (UDL), and web-enhanced instructional strategies.
