Biography

Resmi KrishnankuttyRema is an assistant teaching professor of Mechatronics Engineering Technology at the Bowling Green State University. She has a Master’s Degree in Bio-Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia, USA, and a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and medical Instrumentation from Cochin University of Science and Technology, India.

Resmi currently teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in topics including robotic sensors and actuators, mechatronics systems, microcontrollers, control systems, electronic components and devices, digital electronics, digital communication, and design of experiments. Her current research interests include automated guided vehicles, mobile robotics, mechatronics systems, advanced manufacturing methodologies, and applied research involving the integration of robotics and biomedical engineering.

Resmi also has expertise and experience in STEM-related research activities. One of her main research interests in the STEM discipline is enhancing the student learning outcome and experience using innovative teaching methods in the Engineering and engineering Technologies discipline. She is also actively involved in the research and outreach activities to improve the recruitment and retention of females, and the under-represented student population (including Women) in technology majors at BGSU.
