University of Connecticut Digital Media Design
United States of America - Bethel
Matthew Worwood is Associate Director of the University of Connecticut, Digital Media Design Department, and Director of Digital Media CT, a statewide collaborative dedicated to furthering Digital Media education in Connecticut. Matthew’s research focuses on creativity as situated inside design thinking. He explores this concept from two perspectives: designing and integrating digital media products in education and teaching creativity via a design-based approach to problem-solving.
Much of this work takes place as part of the Class of 2032 Project, which uses design thinking to explore and clarify education challenges that occur in response to new technology. Matthew's community outreach includes once serving as a long-term advisor to the NMC Horizon Report, and until recently, participating as an executive board member of the Everwonder Children’s Museum. More recently, Matthew co-founded the fueling creativity podcast, became a recent contributor to CreativityandEducation.com, and has a parenting blog called DadsforCreativity.com.
