Biography

Marilyn N. Ochoa is the Director for Library and Learning Center Services at Middlesex County College, where she actively seeks to implement educational technologies to transform library and tutoring services and create innovative, technology-rich informal learning spaces while still offering traditional library services and resource provision. She leads her areas in maker services, digital library development, and use of open educational resources. She was previously the Associate Library Director at State University of New York at Oswego and Interim Head and Assistant Head of the University of Florida's Education Library, working significantly with UF educational technology faculty, preservice teachers, and online doctoral students. She is a member of the Society for Instructional Technology and Teacher Education, and served in various leadership roles since 2010, including as Associate Chair of the Teacher Education Council and liaison to the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL). She was a Director-at-Large on the ACRL Board of Directors from 2012-2014. Her research covers a wide array of topics including online education, digital collections assessment and outreach, and collaborative teaching and learning tools.
