Biography

Kellie P. Alston is an educator, trainer, author, and instructional designer who has been developing and teaching courses online for almost 15 years. Her passion for teaching grew from making her cousins, friends, and stuffed animals play school to serving in the field of education as an elementary school teacher, a reading specialist, a curriculum facilitator, an adjunct instructor, a course developer, and a full-time distance education lecturer.

Through her masterful use of cooperative learning structures and purposeful assignments, she continues to create powerful learning experiences that stimulate minds and ultimately, transform students into incredible learning commanders who leave the virtual classroom committed to impacting the world.

Kellie now serves the North Carolina Central University Human Sciences Department as a distance education lecturer for the Early Childhood Education program. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in Instructional Design and Technology and most of all enjoys being the doting mother of her divine daughter, Zoe.
