Biography

Julie Howell is an Assistant Professor of Educational Technology at Tarleton State University. She teaches Instructional Design and Technology courses and coordinates undergraduate teacher education technology labs. She has over thirteen years of experience in PK-12 schools, including experience as a Library/Media Specialist and an Instructional Technology Coordinator. She earned her MEd degree with a focus on Instructional Design and Technology from West Texas A&M University and doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Tarleton State University. Her research interests include technology professional development; social media use in education; virtual reality tools; and educational technology integration.
