Biography
Hülya Avci is a doctoral candidate of the Learning Sciences program with an emphasis in Learning Design & Technology in the Department of Educational Psychology at Texas A&M University (TAMU). She has been working as a graduate research assistant in the Department of Teaching, Learning & Culture at TAMU. She has a bachelor's degree in Foreign Languages Education & a master's degree in Educational Technology. Formerly, she worked full-time as an EFL instructor for six years at the School of Foreign Languages in a foundation university in Istanbul and also worked a year as an English Language Assistant at Istituto Comprensivo E' Ventimiglia in Palermo, Italy, with the scholarship of EU Comenius Assistantship. Her research interests are pre-service & in-service teachers' digital competence/literacy, AI literacy, professional development of teachers, online learning and teaching, formal/informal learning environments, instructional design, and systematic reviews (not limited to those).
