Biography

Dr. Fallon McIver Brewington is the Vice President of Workforce Continuing Education and Workforce Development at Sandhills Community College. She was the former CEO of the Boys & Girls Club of the Sandhills. She has a vast background in public non-profit and higher education sectors expanding over 20 years. She is a Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD®) and was an adjunct Business and Information Technologies Instructor at Richmond Community College. Before beginning her work with the Boys & Girls Club, she worked for Communities In Schools where she served as the Director of Network Relations and Training and Director of Talent Development for Communities In Schools of North Carolina, and Executive Director of Communities in Schools of Richmond County. Prior to transitioning to Communities In Schools she served as a business counselor/e-marketing specialist with the Small Business Technology Development Center at Fayetteville State University, as well as a Vice-President/City Executive for State Employee's Credit Union where she began her professional career as an intern while at North Carolina State University. Fallon Brewington obtained her M.S. in Vocational Education from East Carolina University and B.S. in Business Management from North Carolina State University. She fulfilled the requirements for her Doctorate in Adult and Community College Education at North Carolina State University. Her dissertation is titled An Examination of Virtual Reality on Online Workforce Training. Originally from Richmond County Fallon attended Richmond Senior High School but finished her junior and senior years at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.

Fallon enjoys being very active in her local community where she is President of Moore Young Professionals, Vice-Chair of Habitat for Humanity of the Sandhills, and Past President of the Junior League of Moore County. She is also a member of the Aberdeen Parks & Recreation Advisory Council, Moore County Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Task Force and the Sunrise Theater board of directors. In March 2021, she was named as one of the 20 under 40 by The Pilot Newspaper and selected at as a College of Education Alumni Ambassador for NC State University December 2021.

Fallon is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Raleigh Triangle Area Association of Talent Development, VR/AR Association, Golden Key International Honor Society, Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Phi Beta Kappa, Texas Computer Education Association (TCEA), the Society for Human Resource Management, and the American Evaluation Association.

Fallon has a 18-year-old daughter Brianna who is a freshman attending North Carolina A&T for biomedical engineering and 10-year-old son Jaiden who loves soccer, football, basketball, golf and video games, especially Virtual Reality.
