Dr. Alex Jean-Charles is an assistant professor at Missouri State University. His research interests include how technology influences identity formation in educational settings. He is also interested in exploring the design of immersive digital environments for teaching, learning, and assessment.

Biography

Dr. Alex Jean-Charles earned his Ph.D. in Educational Technology and Technology Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2010. He earned his masters degree in Instructional Technology and Technology Education at Virginia Polytechnic and State University (Virginia Tech). He was a STEM teacher in the New York City public schools where he instructed students in Mathematics and Technology Education.
