As a former TV-news cameraman, I use those skill sets and teach iphone filmmaking/photography in select classes to help the students integrate visual components with their academic/field-work assignments. I blend academics with soft skill sets to help them develop creatively and professionally.

Biography

Al is a former TV-news cameraman/editor and is currently a short filmmaker and part-time instructor at BMCC (Borough of Manhattan Community College, part of the City University of New York public college system). He designed and ran a small internship program at Brooklyn College, where he taught the interns iPhone videography and photography for professional purposes to help the interns support local nonprofits with their social media needs.

Al is an avid open-water swimmer, who can be found regularly, straight through the four seasons, at Brighton Beach, Brooklyn, which is affectionally known as "The medicinal waters off the coast of Southern Brooklyn."
