Between the Chalk, Whiteboard and the Computer
The new roles of teachers and students in teaching-learning process are clear facing to the challenges of the Information Technologies and Communication. New skills and abilities are essential for the teacher and student in the knowledge society. From the student it is expected an involvement in activities and practices that could be able to transform their political and socio-economic reality through the humanistic and professional development, with a critical vision and autonomy. From the teacher is expected to be a research and learning process facilitator, using a challenging pedagogical issues and interactive media. Despite of the advance on new ICTs, teaching practices in Brazilian schools still have just some few innovations. The impact is the high students are demotivation. The problem has at least three different focuses: inadequate infrastructure on the school, absence of a specific policy to train teachers since the first grades and the old practice of teaching.
