Learning portals provide access to quality learning resources on various topics. They are usually supported by a community of stakeholders and used by a wide audience, including tutors and learners in general. This paper discusses the case of the Organic.Edunet Web portal, a learning portal that provides access to quality learning resources on organic agriculture and agroecology. The paper studies various aspects on the portal usage, both at a portal and at a user-level, in order to examine if the observed usage of the portal is affected by various external factors, such as geographical and linguistic ones. The results of our study indicate that users coming from countries which participated in the Organic.Edunet project are more actively participating in the portal and spend a higher amount of time in its pages.
