Abstract: This research aimed to synthesize research on cognitive tools and computational thinking areas. The computational thinking conceptual mapping framework was created to elaborate a computational thinking process via conceptual maps. The computational thinking process consisted of 4 steps: Decomposition, Pattern, Reorganization, Abstraction, and Algorithm Design. During the process of problem-solving, the steps were not clearly visualized, therefore if not well explained by the problem solver, there is a risk of misunderstanding the computational concept The researcher proposed the use of the conceptual map to explain the computational thinking process.
