Abstract: This study examined the relationships between special educators’ beliefs and their adoption of digital portfolios as assessment tools. The objective of this study was to provide a sound understanding of how special educators’ beliefs toward technology related to their adoption of digital portfolios as assessment tools. This research described: a) special educators’ perceptions of using digital portfolios as alternative assessment tools in special education; b) how special educators’ beliefs toward technology connect to their adoption of the tool.
