Abstract: The purpose of this presentation is to relate the process of purchasing, implementing, and maintaining a virtual reality (VR) lab of any size. It focuses on the most common variation of VR based with a headset, a processing unit, and controllers. Guidelines are provided for purchasing the most prevalent, late-model headsets, software, and PC computers. Parameters are given for the number of VR units to purchase, taking into account logistics and costs. Recommendations also are offered for routine maintenance and implementation.
