Abstract: This paper discusses the potential of ChatGPT, a new artificial intelligence technology, to support teacher education in mathematics. The authors, math teacher educators, explore ChatGPT's capabilities and limitations and develop a plan for integrating it into their mathematics methods classes. They also outline plans to provide opportunities for their students to use, experience, and evaluate [this tool].
