Abstract: More than ever before, digital technologies influence every aspect of personal and professional life. It is critical that we be digitally literate in response to this growing reality. Teachers are central in preparing today’s youth for tomorrow’s workforce. Teacher education programs must consider the role they play in developing pre-service teachers’ digital literacy. The purpose of this paper is to present a conceptual framework for developing digital literacy in teacher education programs.
