Abstract: The unintended consequences of digital technologies on childhood and adolescent well-being need to be acknowledged, accounted for, and plans made to ameliorate these harms going forward. Increases in teen anxiety and depression, ADHD, and unruly behavior cannot all be blamed on the pandemic, as these attributes were growing before 2020. Research shows that overuse of what has become by proxy a digital appendage to most youth is actually making them (and many of us) sick. How will we (SITE) be accountable for this other side of the shiny coin we have been peddling?
