Easing School Transitions through Extended Reality

Abstract: Traditional school transitions and post-COVID transitions can be stressful for students. Entering a new school or returning to one after being away for an extended period of time has associated stressors. To mitigate the social emotional impact of these transitions, Extended Reality (XR) can be leveraged, gradually immersing students into the experience of traditional schooling thereby reducing accompanying stressors.
