Abstract: The purpose of this poster presentation is to share the virtual reality (VR) lessons that the presenter has integrated into teacher education and K-12 classrooms for the past two years and suggest specific VR classroom integration strategies. The presenter integrated Oculus Quest (a.k.a, Meta Quest) apps into multiple classrooms: “Mission ISS: Quest” into a 5th-grade science classroom, “Anne Frank House” into a 9th-grade social studies classroom, “Notes on Blindness” into a pre-service technology integration class, and “Mondly” into an ESL graduate class. While integrating VR, specific strategies for meaningful VR learning were observed: (a) students need a specific tutorial before using a VR device, (b) peer support needs to be encouraged, (c) a frequent break may need for a certain group of students, and (d) a teacher’s discussion facilitation after the VR exploration is a key to learning.
