Abstract: Abstract: The aim of the study is to develop a model of effective professional development for teachers to understand and implement various assistive technologies (AT) in special education programs. In order to ensure effective and meaningful AT technology integration, three case studies will be conducted through professional development in six phases: 1) Establishing partnerships between teacher educators and teachers in special education, 2) Analyzing the needs of AT and current status, 3) Developing AT intervention, 4) Training teachers with AT tools, 5) Implementing AT intervention, and 6) Evaluating AT implementation.
