Abstract: Assessment is a critical component in the process of student learning, and college professors should utilize a variety of formative assessments during a unit of study to increase student motivation, including technology applications using smart phones. The purpose of the research study was to determine how helpful and enjoyable college students view different assessments used throughout a course.
