Abstract: 360° videos and images are a form of virtual reality that have been largely untapped by educators, though this type of immersive content is often more accessible than computer-generated virtual reality. For example, teachers can record their own 360° videos and images, or if they cannot record the content themselves, there are online resources where they can access it for free. In addition, 360° videos and images can be viewed across devices, including VR headsets, tablets, laptops, and smartphones, which also reduces barriers for using it in the classroom. In this session, the presenter will first provide an overview of 360° videos and images before sharing online resources of them. The session will conclude with a strategy for using that content to create immersive learning experiences.
