Abstract: Surveys are an essential tool in many areas of research. When administered properly, surveys can assist researchers in gaining a better understanding of the population's characteristics, behaviors, and perceptions. However, survey responses can be misleading. Numerous studies have applied methodological triangulation using interviews and observations to corroborate surveys. In this quasi-experimental study of 84 students in six introductory English classes, learning analytics were used to provide deeper and more accurate picture of how learners interact with the learning content and to support the Student Perceptions Survey.
