Abstract: Computational thinking is a way of formulating a problem so that a computer can find a solution. It involves looking for patterns within multiple sets of data and using algorithmic thinking to find solutions. In this way, it becomes a critical literacy for future-ready youth. In this paper the author describes a course activity that uses esports as a sample activity to teach computational thinking to pre-service librarians who will be working with middle and high school students.
