Abstract: Process Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning (POGIL) is a model that changes the approach in the classroom from that of a traditional lecture-based curriculum to one of collaborative student learning guided by process and focused on inquiry. Over the past few years it has been incorporated into the computing discipline, initially in introductory courses such as CS1, and more recently into next level core courses.
