Abstract: The purpose of this study is to investigate if a correlation exists among Practice Tests performance, the number of attempts, age, race, and gender, and success in passing the state test EC-6 TExES. There are currently no empirical studies examining these relationships. The results of this study conducted at this four-year southern United States university may be used by teacher education program administrators to evaluate curricular and student teaching requirements to improve state exam student performances.
