Abstract: Following the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a resurgence of interest in online and blended learning. However, as members of organizations like SITE are well aware, online and blended learning were well established (if often ignored) areas of practice and research prior to the pandemic. One of the resources that was available to teachers prior to the pandemic impacting K-12 education was Graham et al.’s (2019) K-12 Blended Teaching: A Guide to Personalized Learning and Online Integration. This openly licensed guidebook shared a competency-based approach to preparing K-12 educators for blended teaching. However, teachers and teacher educators using the book had one lingering question after perusing its practices – what does blended teaching look like for me, in my context, with my students? After a three-year wait, we are excited to announce K-12 Blended Teaching (Vol 2): A Guide to Practice Within the Disciplines. This new book is based on interviews with over 25 blended learning teachers from across the United States and takes a problems of practice approach to providing blended teaching practices, quotes, and videos by K-12 teachers for K-12 teachers. This Best Practices session shares, and provides access to, this completed book for attendees to use in creating a better understanding of what blended teaching looks like in elementary education, secondary science, secondary math, secondary social students, and secondary English language arts.
