Abstract: Personalized role-playing games have been regarded as an effective strategy to improve performance, but few studies have conducted to examine its impact on learning engagement. This mixed methods study investigated student’s engagement in a personalized role-playing-game (RPG) environment. Data was collected through interview and survey. Preliminary findings will be reported during the presentation.
