Effect of a personalized role-playing-game (RPG) environment on students’ learning efficiency and mental efficiency

Abstract: Personalized role-playing games have been regarded as an effective strategy to improve performance and cognitive load, but few studies have conducted to examine its impact on learning efficiency and mental efficiency. This pilot study investigated student’s learning efficiency and mental efficiency in a personalized role-playing-game environment. Data was collected through pre-posttests and surveys. Preliminary findings will be reported during the presentation.
