Share Paper: Significant Learning for Health Sciences Students

Abstract: Each of the presenters were awarded a “Course Design Fellowship” by the University of South Dakota. Through this fellowship, each instructor utilized the information learned in order to “flip” their classroom and add significant learning techniques. Now, each of these presenters have changed their teaching styles to use these pedagogies. Students in these courses have been surveyed anonymously to collect data on the implementation and success of their courses. The surveys show that a large number of students agree or strongly agree with each of the questions asked.
