Abstract: This qualitative case study examined the perceptions of implementing virtual reality in online workforce development. Professional development is vital, yet costly. Examining learner perceptions of using VR for workforce development may provide insight into a cost-effective way to develop talent. Nine participants from a small non-profit organization were able to participate in a brief public speaking training using VR headsets provided by a small dissertation completion grant awarded to the researcher.
