Abstract: This presentation will share details on a standards-aligned instrument designed for the evaluation of teachers’ educational technology (edtech) competencies. This instrument may be used by educator preparation providers, school districts, and accreditation bodies to measure educators’ perceptions of edtech competencies derived from professional standards developed by ISTE, AECT, AACE, and Quality Matters. The construction, refinement, and validation of this instrument through empirical Rasch model analysis will be explained. The results conclude the instrument’s refinement stage. As such, a preview of the finalized instrument will be shared with attendees.
