Abstract: As a specific practice of educational informatization, educational informatization project has its unique cross-disciplinary features, and the ability of project manager is an important factor to determine the success of educational informatization project. The construction of the competency model of the project manager in education informatization is helpful to clarify the role and key functions of the project manager in the CIO system and implement the construction of education informatization. Through two rounds of Delphi method involving 3 experts and 51 professionals, combined with factor analysis, we obtain the competency model of ICT project manager. In this paper, the model is applied in combination with specific cases to fill the theoretical and practical deficiencies in the study of project manager competence in the field of education.
