Abstract: During the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions on international travels and postponing of study abroad programs, the need for telecollaboration projects among universities is critical to connecting students globally. This paper will share a telecollaborative exchange project that was implemented for the second time in fall 2020 connecting a total of 41 students enrolled in Early Childhood Education programs in two universities, one in the United States and the other in Costa Rica. The paper explains the research design; goals of the project; instrumentation; findings from the project including a comparison of findings from both years, 2019 and 2020, of the project implementation; and faculty reflections on the project. Students used zoom for synchronous interactions and Google classroom for asynchronous interactions and postings. Students were divided into 7 groups; each group included students from both universities and were assigned a different topic in the field of early childhood education to explore. The project was evaluated using multiple data sources including a survey, focus group interviews with students, students’ electronic slides and online postings, and reflections of participating faculty members. The paper will share the major findings gathered from this year’s data analysis and will also share a comparison of findings from both years. A discussion of findings and implications will conclude the paper.
