Share Paper: The Convergence of Triple E Framework Components and Michigan Secondary Teachers’ Perceptions of Technology Affordances

Abstract: The‌ ‌purpose‌ ‌of‌ ‌this‌ ‌survey-based‌ ‌research‌ ‌was‌ ‌to‌ ‌determine‌ ‌how‌ ‌Michigan‌ ‌educators‌ ‌valued‌ ‌key‌ ‌affordances‌ ‌of‌ ‌technology‌ ‌related‌ ‌to‌ ‌engagement,‌ ‌enhancement,‌ ‌and‌ ‌extension‌ ‌found‌ ‌in‌ ‌the‌ ‌Triple‌ ‌E‌ ‌framework.‌ ‌Additionally,‌ ‌groupings‌ ‌based‌ ‌on‌ ‌teachers’‌ ‌personal‌ ‌abilities‌ ‌and‌ ‌years‌ ‌of‌ ‌experience‌ ‌were‌ ‌used‌ ‌to‌ ‌look‌ ‌for‌ patterns.‌ ‌The‌ ‌data‌ ‌showed‌ ‌that‌ ‌respondents‌ ‌had‌ ‌positive‌ perceptions‌ ‌of‌ ‌tools‌ ‌that‌ ‌increased‌ ‌engagement,‌ ‌enhancement,‌ ‌and‌ ‌extended‌ ‌knowledge.‌ Overall‌ ‌findings‌ ‌indicated‌ ‌that‌ ‌there‌ ‌were‌ ‌fewer‌ ‌significant‌ ‌distinctions‌ ‌between‌ ‌users‌ ‌who‌ ‌self-identify‌ as‌ ‌novice,‌ ‌proficient,‌ ‌or‌ ‌advanced‌ ‌than‌ ‌in‌ ‌previous‌ ‌research.‌ ‌Additionally,‌ ‌teachers‌ ‌who‌ ‌are‌ ‌new,‌ experienced,‌ ‌or‌ ‌vested‌ ‌varied‌ ‌less‌ ‌in‌ ‌their‌ ‌opinions‌.‌ ‌Most‌ ‌importantly,‌ ...
