Abstract: The purpose of the study was to investigate students’ learning outcomes and their ability to persevere and complete the activities in a 3D virtual reality learning environment (VRLE). The VRLE served as a virtual place for an orientation session for the new graduate students in a university and was a replica of the real-world campus. In this environment, the researchers strived to identify the role of perseverance and engagement in the given tasks.
