Abstract: This study first tries to introduce two fairly new concepts in educational technology including Educational Data Mining (EDM) and Adaptive Learning (AL) through implementing an EDM in an adaptive learning environment. The researchers of this study created a model to gather ‘Big Data’ including adaptive learning students’ responses to the self-report Self-Regulated Learning Questionnaire (ASRQ) about their SRL skills intermingled with the data collected form AL System student, evidence and task models.
