Abstract: In this presentation a proposed model of IT competencies for early school education teachers in Poland will be discussed. Findings from a study conducted between December 2016 and February 2017 identified the following factors are important indicators for IT competence of early school education teachers: the use of IT skills in the didactic and educational process, technological openness, motivation to develop IT skills, place of residence, place of work, age, IT availability at school and IT self-development.
