Abstract: This panel, addressing different variables shaping the academic job search, focuses on graduate students preparing for and seeking faculty positions. Four current faculty members representing a variety of academic backgrounds, experiences and placements will tackle a variety of topics related to the job search process, such as responding to position announcements, preparing for the interview, negotiating for the new job and navigating the first year. Following brief presentations from the panelists, the audience will be invited to join the conversation through an open question-and-answer session.
