ID: 55720
Abstract: : This paper describes an approach used with undergraduate pre-service teachers while introducing 3D printing as an educational resource. This instructional process first focuses on what 3D printing is, followed by finding existing designs that they are interested in, and then to adaption and original design creation. The paper also describes the results of the pre-service teachers’ selections of 3D objects that they would want printed for use with their classes, with the highest areas being Math and Science, followed by Social Studies and Literacy.
