Abstract: There is little discussion about the importance of ICT at all levels of education. This includes ICT competences as learning outcomes of education as well as ICT competences of teachers as input for that education. This challenges educators, especially in developing countries where many were not raised in a context in which ICT played an important role or in which ICTs were readily available. The DigCompEdu framework, developed in EU, provides a guideline for outcomes of pre-service and in-service training of teachers and other stakeholders in education.
