Abstract: Developing computational thinking with pre-service teachers is often done through a more direct approach that uses coding. In-service teachers can develop their understanding of technology and how technology influences their instructional practices through activities that include historical context. Both pre-service and in-service teachers will complete lessons that focus on technology as related to history (Historical Bits) and we examine the influence of that experience on their learning process, attitudes toward technology, and historical perspective. This brief paper presentation proposes a collaborative research project with an intention to recruit teacher educators to participate
