Abstract: Assessing students in an online course poses challenges to the reliability factor of the measures being utilized. Some programs have the latitude to incorporate proctored assessments, but this is not always practical in asynchronously structured courses reaching out across a broad geographic region with varying connectivity quality among students. This paper explores student created video outputs using the Panopto lecture capture system as a viable demonstration of student learning in an online class.
