Abstract: The purpose of this roundtable paper presentation is to discuss preliminary explorations into making an online course more interactive and engaging for students who traditionally take face-to-face courses at a small, Midwestern, Appalachian university. As part of this discussion, I would like the opportunity to discuss the study with others, develop the survey and the next iteration of the course for research purposes.
