Abstract: Numerous higher education institutions in the U.S. have renovated or will do their instructional spaces, and they face a challenge of creating a flexible space that can accommodate various instructional activities. A multipurpose space in a regional university is being renovated, in which a wide spectrum of activities take place including not only presentation, small group discussion, and entire group discussion, but also poster sessions, panel discussion, and physical activities such as Yoga and Taiichi.
