Abstract: In response to guidance from the professional security community, school staff have begun adopting sophisticated technology-based approaches to implementing dependable security systems on their campuses. To support these efforts, this paper examines methods for addressing and improving school security during teacher preparation. In particular, the discussion aims to integrate compatible approaches and technologies that show potential for decreasing the number of school violence cases as well as the severity of those cases.
