Abstract: Within the field of education, technology is being used in many ways to help make learning easier for many individuals. For individuals with special needs and limitations, this can be especially valuable. In this paper, the author explores the background of special needs education and offers several types of technology that may be used to assist this special population with learning needs. Although there may be barriers to technology usage in some school districts, the possibilities that are offered to learners may far outweigh the obstacles.
